What is a skill

A skill is a folder of instructions and supporting files:

/skill-name
|- SKILL.md: Tells AI what the skill does and when to use it
|- eval.md: A pass/fail checklist AI runs before showing you the result
|- examples.md: Shows AI what good output looks like

Some skills also include a file such as plan.md or brand.md. Fill it in, or ask AI to interview you and fill it in, so the skill knows your goals or brand.

How to use

Install only the skills that match your work, since too many make AI worse at picking the right one. Each skill page has its own download, or you can install everything at once:

  1. Download this skills zip file.
  2. Drag the ZIP into Codex or Claude Code and ask: “Install these as user-level skills.”
  3. Type / followed by a skill name, like /advisor, to try one.
