Connect YouTube
Let Hermes summarize YouTube videos and more.
YouTube has a wealth of information, and Hermes can pull useful context out of videos.
There are two ways to set up YouTube:
- Use yt-dlp, a free tool that can pull transcripts, titles, descriptions, and more.
- Use the official YouTube API by following the setup path in Google Workspace. When you get to the step where you enable the APIs, also enable YouTube Data API v3 in the same Google Cloud project. This gets more stats about your own channel.
Personally, I only use yt-dlp because it is so easy to set up, so I am going to walk through that next.
